Providing a representative sample is crucial to accurate and reproducible test results. The product batch should be well mixed with a uniform distribution of parts throughout. Pull parts of our samples from different parts within your batch, at random, or systematically depending on your procedures.
The following sample sizes are recommended per test.
In accordance with Health Canada, samples cannot be returned. Remaining samples are kept on hand for 4 weeks.
We use an ICP-MS for metals analysis, so we see pretty much all of the metal ions show up, but report on the “cadmium, cobalt, copper, lead, manganese, mercury, nickel, zinc, and arsenic.
Please Note: Our brand new ICP-MS is currently being dialed in, and we outsource HC compliant metals to a trusted partner lab.
We test for propane, isobutane, butane, methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, acetone, hexane, heptane, and pentane.
For homegrown cannabis, our pesticide screening tests for 12 pesticide compounds of concern common to household/gardening variety pesticides. This test is a far cry from the 96 banned pesticide analysis required by Health Canada from use on commercial cannabis. Commercially produced cannabis should be analyzed for 96 banned pesticides using our UHPLC-MS/MS.
We recommend inquiring about pesticide testing with our Client Care Specialists.
Cannabis on the legal market has passed the Health Canada compliant 96 banned pesticide analysis prior to its release, so 2.0 products made from this cannabis may not require further testing.
